Der Weihbischhof von Aachen legt am Vorabend von Johannes auf den Turmgalerien des Aachener Münsters unter grosser Feierlichkeit die mit Wappen und bildlichen Darstellungen geschmückten Tücher aus, welche während des hohen Mittelalters von dem Volke in Ihrer Wallfahrtszeit vorangetragen wurden.
