Description
English: Arms of Bulteel of Flete, Holbeton and of Lyneham, Yealmpton, both in Devon: Argent biletée gules, a bend of the last. In 1660 John Bulteel of Westminster, MP, was Secretary to the Lord High Chancellor of England, Lord Clarendon, and in that year was confirmed by the Garter King of Arms the right to bear arms as follows: Argent semy of billets and a bend gules, with crest: Out of a crowne gules two wings argent billetté of the first.[1] Lysons, Magna Britannia (1822) gives the arms as: Argent, a bend between 14 billets gules with crest: Out of a ducal crown gules a pair of wings a(argent,azure)? billetty of the first.[2] See Bulteel monuments in Holbeton Church
