| Description |
English: Building at Godwin Battery, Kilnsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. This brick building is close to the cliff edge at the Sandy Beaches campsite. This was formerly part of Godwin Battery, the wartime installation whose primary purpose was to protect the Humber from attack from the air. The huge concrete bases of the gun emplacements have already been washed into the sea and can be seen on the beach below. The rapid rate of coastal erosion here means this building may soon be consumed by the sea. |
