DescriptionBuffalo Nickel 1913 Type 1 Reverse.png |
English: The reverse of the Type 1 Buffalo Nickel minted only in 1913. The 1913 Type 1 Buffalo nickel is notoriously weakly struck, and this coin is graded MS65 by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Note that the buffalo stands on a large hill, and the text "FIVE CENTS" is a part of this mound. The later Type 2 Buffalo nickel was redesigned so that the "FIVE CENTS" text was in relief below a smaller horizontal hill. |
