Title
buckle Lincolnshire
Description
English: A cast copper alloy buckle of single loop D-shaped design, the entire two piece object coated in verdigris. The pin is still present and attached, resting in a complementary groove framed by two large round knops and five indentations, the ceral one of which formes the notch. The side sections of the loop connecting the notch to the attachment bar are bow shaped and unornamented. Whitehead (2003) suggests a date of between 1250 and 1400 based on the style of the strap bar and edges.
