Description
English: Fragment of a buckle of Hawkes and Dunning's Type IIa originally decorated with a pair of confronted dolphins only one of which survives. The animal's open mouth can be seen as can its crest/fin. Originally the two dolphins were joined only at their heads, their bifurcated tails were unattached. Below the surviving tail is the remains of a transverse loop by which the buckle was attached to its plate.
