Summary
[edit]DescriptionBrunnen in Berlin-Schoeneberg, Nickelmannbrunnen.jpg |
English: The so-called Nickelmannbrunnen ("Nickelmann" is a term for a Nix or Merman, a water spirit), built in 1904 on the north-western end of Nollendorfplatz in Berlin-Schöneberg, underneath the elevated rail viaduct. Once a functioning fountain, today it is merely a decorative element. The design is often falsely attributed to Otto Westphal. The sculptor was however Ernst Westphal (1851-1926).[1]
