Description

Fra Bakklandet ved Gamle Bybro ca 1935.

Brubakken er bakken fra Gamle Bybro opp til Skansegata. Fortsetter som Kristianstensbakken, og det er mulig at dette opprinnelig har har vært navnet på hele bakken. Senere ble Steinsbakken det vanlige navnet på på folkemunne, mens Brubakken ble det offisielle navnet.

Brubakken, Bakklandet. Oppkalt i 1880 etter Gamle Bybro, som bakken går østover fra og opp på platået, hvor den fortsetter som Kristianstensbakken.
