Nederlands: Objectgegevens Titel: Bronzen vijzel Beschrijving: Rond lichaam opgebouwd uit verhoogde voet met oplopende profielranden, gladde wand met in het midden geprofileerde ribbel, uitkragende bovenrand. Ribbel op overgang uitkraging en middendeel. Op voet, wand en uitkraging rondom evenwijdig uitgestoken lijntjes. Herkomst: De gemeente-apotheek in Rotterdam (1603-1993) maakte vanaf 1938 tot de privatisering in 1993 deel uit van de G.G. en G.D. (later GGD) van de gemeente Rotterdam. In 1940 werd het pand van de gemeente-apotheek op de Hoogstraat tijdens het bombardement verwoest. Uit de puinhopen zijn volgens de bronnen alleen enkele vijzels gered. In 1941 werd een nieuwe apotheek betrokken in het Gebouw voor de Volksgezondheid aan de Baan (en later Schiedamsedijk).
