Jahrhundert, Datierung engl.: 13th century; Herkunft (Allgemein): Türkei (Land), Kupferlegierung, gegossen, graviert/ziseliert, punziert, Höhe: 37,5 cm, Breite: 24,3 cm, Tiefe: 10,5 cm. Gewicht: 7950 g. Ident.Nr. I. 2242 Gegossener Türklopfer mit graviertem und punziertem Dekor. Der Türklopfer ist aus zwei antithetischen Drachen gebildet, deren kurze Vorderbeine sich berühren, deren Köpfe aber nach außen gewandt sind. Die Drachen sind mit aufgerissenen Rachen, kraftvollen verschlungenen Leibern und sich überschneidenden Schwänzen dargestellt, die in Vogelköpfen enden. Die Details von Augen, Ohren und Rachen sind graviert, die schuppige Drachenhaut ist punziert. Der Befestigungsstift des Türklopfers ist als Löwenkopf gestaltet. Fast identische Türklopfer stammen von den Toren der Moschee in Cizre am Tigris (Türkei).
