Description
English: A flint scraper of probable Bronze Age date.

The rounded scraper is on a tertiary, sub-oval flake which has been struck at 45 degrees to the core platform, part of which survives. Retouch to the distal end is long, sub-parallel and abrupt, and there is probably some short, semi-abrupt retouch to the left-hand side. The ventral surface displays a bulb-of-percussion with bulbar scar. The flint surface is a heavily recorticated white, which is indicative of deposition within an alkaline environment.

Length: 43.4mm; width: 31.3mm; thickness: 12.3mm. Weight: 18.65g.
