English: Cast copper alloy palstave axehead. This has a large steeply curved crescent shaped blade that may have been re-sharpened in antiquity. The blade thickens to a wide septum that has a concave depression before (on the blade side). The flanges are high and run almost the whole length of the rear half, the butt is flat |
