Title
Bronze Age : Scraper
Description
English: A complete knapped lithic implement of Bronze Age date, circa 2350 - 800 BC. The implement is a notched scraper formed from a secondary flake which is sub-trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in section. The ventral surface is smooth retaining its chalky white cortex. The dorsal surface is irregular with a large irregular notch at the proximal end. Shallow semi-invasive scaled retouch is present along the inner edge of the notch and around one projecting edge suggesting this may have functioned as a scraper proper.

The flint is a dark blackish-grey colour with lighter inclusions. The implement is 59.7mm long, 40mm wide, 11.1mm thick and weighs 34.6g.
