Bronze Age : Barbed and Tanged Axehead
Description
English: An incomplete knapped lithic arrowhead of Bronze Age date. The arrowhead is of the barbed and tanged form being triangular in plan and pointed oval in section. The central tang has been lost to a worn break but the two barbs are retained. Extensive flake removal is visible on both surfaces as well as fine edge retouch on all exterior edges.

The flint is a mid bluish-grey colour. The arrowhead is 21.5mm long, 18.4mm wide, 3.9mm thick and weighs 1.3g.
