Summary
[edit]DescriptionBromley Muir trig point - geograph.org.uk - 1703819.jpg |
English: Bromley Muir trig point The central part of the background is taken up by the Campsie Hills, with the small peaks of Dumgoyne and Dumfoyn (NS5482), about 27km away, just visible directly above the top of the trig point.
To the left of the Campsies, the Fintry Hills are visible, about 54km away. The location of the trig point provides a very good view to the north, the east, and the south. With decent visibility, it is often possible to pick out (for example) Tinto Hill (NS9534) in Lanarkshire, about 75km to the south-east. On the day this photo was taken, the snow was generally about a foot deep, here on the moors; although trampled down in the immediate vicinity of the trig point, it had formed deeper drifts on some of the more sheltered slopes nearby. |
