Description
English: The former limestone quarry Kalksteinbruch Wallmeyer, now part of the nature reserve (Naturschutzgebiet) „Osterklee“ in Tecklenburg-Brochterbeck, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Deutsch: Der ehemalige Kalksteinbruch Wallmeyer, nun Teil des Naturschutzgebiets „Osterklee“ bei Brochterbeck, Stadtteil von Tecklenburg, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Das knapp 38 Hektar große Naturschutzgebiet ist vor allem wegen der dortigen Trespen-Schwingel-Kalktrockenrasen bedeutsam. Viele der dort vorkommenden Biotoptypen, darunter der Kalktrockenrasen, erreichen hier ihre nordwestlichste Verbreitungsgrenze in Deutschland und sind daher von biogeografischer Bedeutung.
