Description
English: Arlington National Cemetery Gravesite of retired Brigadier General Richard W. Saxton. Born in Puerto Rico on 19 May 1930, Brigadier General Saxton died on 13 December 1988 and was interred at Arlington National Cemetery later that month. Saxton was an influential voice on African-American and diversity issues in relation to the military community throughout the 1980s and close friend to Montfort Point Marine (and Congressional Gold Medal recipient) Brigadier General Albert Bryant, Sr. and was father-in-law to Army Brigadier General Albert Bryant, Jr., who married the former Renee Saxton in 1975.He had two other children Marie and Richard. who married Colonel Jerome Cureton and followed his military path, respectively. Justin Cureton, Trace Cureton, Ian Cureton, Luke Cureton, Ricky Saxton, Cassandra Saxton are his grandchildren.
