Summary
[edit]DescriptionBridgnorth Ex-WD 2-10-0 at Severn Valley Railway Depot geograph-2756011-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Ex-WD 2-10-0 at Severn Valley Railway Depot, Bridgnorth. View eastward across the SVR Locomotive Yard south of Bridgnorth Station. Longmoor Military Railway No. 600 was built as No. 3651 (later 73651) for the WD in 12/43 by NB Loco and unlike 124 of the 150 built it never went overseas, but remained at Longmoor for training purposes. (See also NS7457 : War Department 2-10-0 in Motherwell Locomotive Yard). When the LMR closed in 1969, No. 600 'Gordon' was acquired by the SVR. (The photo shows part of various other engines acquired). |
