Summary
[edit]DescriptionBridge over Kinleith Burn - geograph.org.uk - 165168.jpg |
English: Bridge over Kinleith Burn. Wild garlic and Lesser Celandine cover the banks of the Kinleith Burn, a tributary of the Water of Leith, as it flows down through the Poet's Glen. The glen is named after James Thomson, a weaver who lived near here in the 18th century and who was something of a poet. The Historical Magazine of 1799 went so far as to refer to him as "a second Burns". |
