Summary

[edit]
Description FOLSOM, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2011) - Two bridge segments reach out from their piers across the American River during construction of the Folsom Lake Crossing bridge here on Oct. 1, 2008. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District was authorized to build the bridge in 2004, after security concerns closed the road atop the dam, a major commuter throughway, in 2003. The Corps completed the bridge in March 2009.
