Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This building was designed by local architect Thornton F. Doan for property owner O.H. Long of Mahwak, NJ to replace the previous building that had been destroyed by fire in the summer of 1911. The original plans fluctuated from a 1-story building to a 5-story building, eventually settling on 2-stories with room for expansion. Completed in 1912 by contractors Eklund & Harris, It was later known as the Holly-Bay-Prospect Building after the intersection it stood at. It has more recently been known as the Breier Building, after long time former tenant C.J. Breier & Co, a regional dime store chain.
