| Description |
English: Breaston - the Urban Village Winner This sign is proudly displayed beside Breaston's village green. Unfortunately, it is not clear how 'urban village' is defined (although Breaston, with a population in excess of 4,000, evidently qualifies) nor by what criteria the competition was judged (although it would appear to be broader than the traditional 'best kept' competition, taking into account the vibrancy of the community). The accolade was actually bestowed on Breaston in 2000 and 2002. |
