English: Guests from the Brazilian Navy walk aboard the future amphibious ship USS America (LHA 6) for the first time, July 31, 2014. Brazilian Navy officers were invited to stay aboard America to live amongst U.S. Navy Sailors and the Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South. The guests participated in ship tours, martial arts training and social events strengthening the bond between themselves and the Navy-Marine Corps team. Marines and Sailors with SPMAGTF-South are scheduled to join our Brazilian partners ashore to conduct bi-lateral theater security operation activities in the upcoming port visit to Brazil. Through partner-nation activities, key leader engagements and security cooperation activities, the Marines and Sailors of SPMAGTF-South will demonstrate the flexibility, unity and unparalleled expeditionary capability the Navy-Marine Corps team provides our nation and partners.
