Description

This is an Heliconius erato phyllis (Fabricius, 1775) type of butterfly which may be found in South Brazil, Uruguay and North of Argentina. It is a 50-77 mm butterfly which lives in forests. According to Bentacur (op.cit) while sleeping, several dozens get together and rest while hanging from a branch or twig. Female is on Left Habitat: Template forests. Southern Brazil, Northern , Argentina and Uruguay. Discover by Fabricius 1775
