Rückseite: MONETA NOVA ARGENTEA 1679. Zehnfeldiges Wappen mit Kurhut, zu Seiten Wardeinsinitialen C-S (Christoph Stricker).

Kommentar: Um dem gestiegenen Silberpreis Rechnung zu tragen, einigten sich 1667 die Kurfürsten von Brandenburg und Sachsen auf einer Zusammenkunft im Kloster Zinna bei Jüterbog auf einen gemeinsamen, vom Reichsfuß abweichenden Münzfuß, der ab 1670 für alle brandenburgischen Münzstätten verbindlich war. Dieser sog. Zinnaische Münzfuß (10 1/2 Talerfuß), der 1682 und 1687 nochmals verringert wurde, galt für alle Münzsorten. Um das Recht von Kaiser und Reich nicht zu verletzen, wurde der Taler aber nicht angetastet, und als neue Großsilbermünze ein Zweidritteltalerwert (Gulden) eingeführt. Taler sind weiterhin nach dem dem alten Reichsfuß des 16. Jahrhunderts (9 Talerfuß) gemünzt worden.
