Description
English: Bow fragment of uncertain type The bow has a prominent rounded moulding, flanked by less substantial mouldings. This decoration is typical of Chester Type Trumpet brooches, of simplified form probably of Late 1st or 2nd century AD date (Hattatt 1985) and may be paralleled in examples 438A and 438B (ibid.). At the base of the rear of the bow fragment is the beginning of the catch plate.
