| Description |
English: Boundary wall and fence. The field on the other side of the wall and fence belongs to Asker Farm.
Immediately to the north-east, the land on this side of the fence is hemmed in by the wall on one side, and a fairly steep slope on the other: 1187838. However, here to the south-west, the ground becomes more level. An Ordnance Survey map from about 1914 reveals that a rifle range extended from roughly this point, following the line of the boundary wall in a south-westerly direction for about 500 metres; the entire length of the rifle range is therefore visible in this photograph; its far end would have been located a little beyond the point where the line of trees visible in the background meets the line of the boundary wall. |
