Notes | Native Mineral Water Co ginger beer bottle The Native Mineral Water Co was established in Auckland by Sigvard Dannefaerd (Danneford) between 1898 and 1905. Located at 207 Queen Street, Auckland. S Danneford migrated to NZ from Denmark circa 1873 and set up in business as Jeweller, Lapidiary and Curio Merchant operating from the ‘City Hall Buildings’, Queen Street. He worked as a collector and trader for the Natural History Museum, London and the NZ Dominion Museum, and also collected for Lord Rothschild. In addition he established a reputation as a photographer, selling his work to a postcard company. He sold his business to JB Reade in 1905, but the company had ceased operating by 1907. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
