English: Boscombe Chine Gardens: children's playground detail They didn't have playthings like this when I was a lad! A pump in the centre can be operated, manoeuvring water all round the ditches in this contraption with the aid of various moving parts - for example, the weight on the side of the trough in the foreground can be slid across, allowing the water to fall in either direction.
