| Description |
English: The border Rivers of Suriname are very often wrong on most international maps. the Border with Guyana is formed by the Corantijn (Corentyne) and the Boven-Corantijn (Upper Corentyne). The Guyanese call the Upper-Corentyne the "New River" and they call the Coeroeni River the Corentyne. This is misleading and incorrect.
The border with French Guiana is formed by the Marowijne, Lawa and marowini River.
Español: Los ríos fronterizos de Surinam suelen aparecer incorrectos en la mayoría de los mapas internacionales. La frontera con Guyana está formada por Corantijn (Corentyne) y Boven-Corantijn (Upper Corentyne). Los guyaneses llaman al Alto Corentyne el "Río Nuevo" y al río Coeroeni llaman Corentyne. Esto es engañoso e incorrecto.
La frontera con la Guayana Francesa está formada por los ríos Marowijne, Lawa y Marowini.
