Description

c/n 32513(-DL) Full US military serial 44-83872. Transferred to the US Navy in 1945 and given the Bureau No 77235. Retired in 1956, she flew on survey work for the Aero Service Corporation between 1957 and 1967 before joining the Confederate Air Force (CAF) in Texas. She is still based in Texas and is still operated by the CAF, although the organisation has now been renamed as the Commemorative Air Force. Although I believe an engine issue prevented her from taking part on the day, she is seen prior to the 2015 Arsenal of Democracy Flyover to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of VE Day and the end of WW2.
