Caricature of Napoleon I. (British political cartoon); Napoleon's election to the Institut Nationale was planned in 1802. Following the Treaty of Amiens, March 1802, English visitors to Paris included the Whig politicians Charles James Fox and Francis Burdett who had opposed the war against France.; Ink spots at right side.
