Description
English: Blue stone box, being the second layer of a nested set of boxes in different materials that hold Buddhist relics (śarīra) in the middle. The 4th and 2nd layer boxes are dated Sui dynasty Daye 12 (616); the 5th, 3rd and 1st layer boxes are Ming dynasty, dated Wanli 20 (1592). Sui dynasty (581–618). Held at the Capital Museum, Beijing.
