Description Blick vom Eselsburgsturm herunter auf die Gartenwirtschaft: Am Ostende des südlichsten der drei Strombergzüge errichtete der Schwäbische Albverein 1925 einen verschalten Holzturm auf einem Werksteinsockel mit einer kleinen Schankwirtschaft und einer offenen Schutzhütte. Die Herren der Eselsburg waren ein mittelalterliches Adelsgeschlecht in Schwaben, die schon vor 1140 eine Burg auf dem Auenbühl bei Rechentshofen (Sachsenheim) besaßen und sich zwischen 1140 und 1194 die Eselsburg erbauten.
