The image resolution is 13 meters per picture element (pixel). Within the large crater in the left half of the image is a large field of dark dunes. Their shape indicates the prevailing wind direction from the south-east, i.e. roughly from the bottom left. Their dark color comes from material of volcanic origin. A good dozen of the so-called Barchane or sickle dunes can also be seen in the neighboring, smaller crater.
