[edit]Le blason initial des Varennes : échiqueté d'azur et d'or attribué d'office par d'Hozier n'a jamais été utilisé par la commune, probablement parce-que ce village ne s'est agrandi qu'à la fin du XXe siècle.
Le blason ci-dessous est donc un projet de blason alliant au blason initial, celui des Saint-Félix, seigneurs des Varennes du XVIe au XVIIIe. siècle. Il est proposé aujourd'hui à la commune pour être utilisé dans toute la signalétique de la mairie.
