English: New (1982) Blaenau Ffestiniog station, with Ffestiniog Railway train. View eastward, towards Trawsfynydd on a new formation, originally Bala on th ex-GW line closed from 27/1/61, also Duffws on the FR until 1931. At the Ffestiniog Platform 2 is a narrow-gauge train for Porthmadog, headed by a Fairlie-type 0-4-4-0T, probably No. 3 'Earl of Merioneth'. This platform was opened 25/5/82, the rest of the station on 28/3/82former ex-GWR Central station. |
