Description
English: Blackhorse Road station, exterior, 1984.
View SW from Forest Road/Blackhorse Road, towards Gospal Oak and Kentish Town. On the ex-Midland Kentish Town - Barking line, since 5/1/81 Gospal Oak - Barking 'Overground'. Named 'Black Horse Road' until 12/5/80, it had been rebuilt and resited from 14/12/81 above the LT Victoria Line Underground station, which opened 1/9/68. Note the typical cars of 30 years ago, and the sculptured picture of a black horse by David McFall.
