This physics image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Blackbody-colours-vertical.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

This image was copied from wikipedia:en. The original description was:

Colours of black body radiation. This image was generated using information from http://www.vendian.org/mncharity/dir3/blackbody/UnstableURLs/bbr_color.html. The basic colours are unoriginal and ineligible for copyright, the little input I have is GFDL

This diagram ignores the brightness of the radiation. all the colours are normalized to full brightness. This is because of the limited range of intensities possible with computer screens. To give a true indication of intensity, if the colour at 1000 were reduced to nearly black, at 10000K the intensity would be so strong as to instantly blind the user.
