Nothing remains of the small two room cottage that once stood here along the Blackfort Road, adjacent to Drumragh old graveyard In their questionable wisdom the planners insisted that this historic cottage be removed when an adjoining property was constructed. These links confirming that he was born at Drumragh near Omagh on 8 May 1888 - see http://www.ulsterhistory.co.uk/wfmarshall.htm and http://www.omagh.gov.uk/culture_leisure_and_tourism/things_to_do/activities/history_and_heritage/item.php?id=258 but not Sixmilecross, though it was widely known that he did live there during most of his younger days with his father 133641 who was the school master in Sixmilecross Primary School 1620576 This may have been the school house for the adjoining Drumragh National School 1735356 |
