Summary
[edit]DescriptionBirmingham New St Tunnel 2057615.jpg |
English: Birmingham, New St. Tunnel, with train. View westward, towards New Street Station, a scene taken from by Moor Street, with eastbound empty stock emerging headed by Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 No. 44859. 1965 was the last year when much Steam was to be seen anywhere on a Summer Saturday. (With the main Great Western lines into Snow Hill just behind me, this was an ideal spot from which to watch trains, except that there was broken glass stuck in the top of the wall; also it was not long before a policeman came along and drove me and the other spotters away!) |
