The statue of Thomas Attwood at the Birmingham Museum Collections Centre. The statue is still covered in graffiti and an arm is still missing. Went into storage in 2008 and it is still not restored! But is Grade II listed. May have been plans to restore it and move to a location in Harborne, but that hasn't happened yet! Listing details: TURNER STREET 1. 5104 Sparbrook B12 Statue of Thomas Attwood in New Park SF 08 SE 12/60 II 2. 1859, sculptor Peter Hollins. A marble standing figure in contemporary dress, raised on grey granite pedestal which is set on a high octagonal ashlar plinth with cast iron panelled and created parapet capping.
