Bird's Eye View of the City.—Taken from the spire of St. Bride's Church, near Ludgate Circus. The view impresses one with a sense of the closely packed character of London in its busiest part. One could wish that St. Paul's had not been so enclosed—that the majestic proportions of Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece could have been better observed by means of such a spaces that fronting St. Peter's at Rome. Postcard. Postally unused. Valentine's Series. Printed in Great Britain. Found in an antique shop in Hobart. |
