Description
English: The BioSentinel spacecraft is a fully automated nanosatellite of the 6U CubeSat format. It is planned to be launched in 2018 as one of the 11 secondary payloads onboard the first test flight of NASA's SLS (EM-1 mission) and to be deployed in deep space.

BioSentinel is a planned low-cost CubeSat spacecraft on an astrobiology mission that will use yeast to detect, measure, and compare the impact of deep space radiation on live yeast DNA over 18 months beyond low-Earth orbit.

Mass: 14 kg (31 lb)

Dimensions: 10×20×30 cm (not including its deployable solar panels)
