Description
English: Bickley's Bridge near Long Itchington, Warwickshire This is Bridge No 26 on the Grand Union Canal. It is pureley a farmer's accommodation bridge connecting fields. This canal was authorised by an Act of Parliament on 28 March 1794 as the Warwick and Braunston Canal. The line was later changed to join the Oxford Canal at Napton, authorised by an Act of 14 May 1796. The canal was formally opened on 19 December 1799 but actually opened for trade on 19 March 1800.
