English: Beryl (Var.: Morganite)

John Barlow assembled one of the finest private mineral collections in the United States and the world, prior to his death in 2004. I obtained this excellent and beautiful cluster of sharp, gemmy, pastel-pink morganite crystals in from John in the late 1990s and got him to autograph his label. The unretouched backlit photo highlights the gemminess and gorgeous pink color saturation of the crystal.
