| Description |
English: In 1997 when I first visited London, my travel companion took me to Bermondsey Antiques Market at the intersection (junction) of Long Lane and Bermondsey Street in Southwark. I loved that place but at the time I barely started working and couldn't afford to buy anything serious.
So in 2007 I made a point in visiting the Fridays-only antiques market again, armed with a fatter wallet this time. Alas! In the name of the real estate boom and development, the Bermondsey Antiques Market has shrunk beyond recogniition! So after an hour of browsing, I left empty-handed and a bit disappointed. I was told that once the construction of the nearby development is done, the antiques market will return to tis former glory though. Let's hope so! |
