Description
English: Removal, presentation and return of a wall hanging (1750-1800) from the depot of the Museum Europäischer Kulturen in Berlin by its employees.

The curtain is made of fabric and felt and was embroidered with silk threads. Scenes from the Old and New Testaments are presented. The photo series consists of 32 images and also shows detailed shots of the individual image fields.

The exhibit will not be shown publicly in the permanent exhibition. (translates by Google)

Deutsch: Entnahme, Präsentation und Rückgabe eines Wandbehangs (1750-1800) aus dem Depot des Museums Europäischer Kulturen in Berlin durch deren Mitarbeiter.

Der Behang besteht aus Stoff- und Filz und wurde mit Seidenfäden bestickt. Es werden Szenen aus dem alten und neuem Testament dargestellt. Die Fotoserie besteht aus 32 Bildern und zeigt auch Detailaufnahmen der einzelnen Bildfelder.

Das Exponat wird nicht öffentlich in der Dauerausstellung gezeigt.
