Belt mount
Description
English: Copper alloy strap hooked fitting with loop attachment, of Post Medieval date, and probably dating to the first half of the 17th century. The mounts were likely to be associated with a sword belt and scabbard. The hooked fitting (44.7x17.8x10.1mm) is convex and has an outward-turning hook. The panel is oval and simply decorated with two central incised lines. The mount has a knop at the apex and was secured by two rivets and. The associated looped fitting (30.9x12.3x2.7mm) is still attached to the mount and comprises a loop above a collar. The panel has a single large iron rivet at the base.
