Mr. Deyo joined the Bell System in1941 as a staff writer in the Public Rela- tions Department of the Western ElectricCompany. He later worked in the Per-sonnel Department, and became editor ofThe Observer, a monthly publication formembers of Westerns Installation Depart-ment. War took him into the Navy, andhe became skipper of one of the fast andscrappy little PT boats in Philippine wa-ters. In 1946 he joined the Public Rela-tions Department of the New York Tele-phone Company, and since last year he hasbeen editor of its employee magazine, TheTelephone Review. A teacher and professor of mathematicsfor ten years before World War I, Don-ald R. Belcher joined the A. T. and T.Company in 1919, and was appointed as-sistant chief statistician in 1927. Uponhis return from Government service inin World War II, he was appointed assist-ant comptroller in 1943, and was electedTreasurer of the A. T. and T. Companyin 1944.
